Menorca Sea Caves – Guided Kayaking Tour

Menorca’s karst coastline hides sea caves, arches, and sinkhole skylights reachable only from the water. A guided tour keeps timing and conditions safe while you focus on rhythm, light, and the textures of the rock.
Highlights
- Blue caves & caverns with glassy pools and sun shafts from collapsed ceilings.
- Cliff line paddling past honeycombed limestone, arches, and tiny inlets.
- Swim & snorkel stop in protected coves (conditions permitting).
- Small groups and certified guides; route tailored to wind and swell.
Suitable for beginners with basic water confidence. Tandem kayaks available. Guides brief strokes, cave etiquette, and entry/exit signals before launching.
Route & Safety Logic
South-coast tours use lee-side segments to avoid chop and rebounding waves. Cave entry requires low swell and headlamp checks; if conditions change, guides switch to arches and sheltered coves. Helmets may be used for tighter ceilings; life jackets are standard.

Season & Best Time

- July–August · peak demand—reserve sunrise or late-afternoon slots.
- September–October · warm sea and softer light; great balance.
- Morning departures often mean calmer seas and better visibility inside caves.
Environmental Etiquette
No touching stalactites or cave walls; keep fins off the seabed to protect Posidonia seagrass. Pack out everything, avoid loud voices in chambers, and give wildlife right of way.
